Print both sides of the knife. You many need to do some light cleaning if there was any cruft left after printing
-
-
-
6 small torx screws (size 6). Two sets, one is slightly longer than the other. 2 large interlocking torx screws (size 10)
-
2 plastic spacers
-
1 metal hinge pin
-
3 threaded spacer rods
-
1 metal insert with catch lever
-
2 3D printed knife handles
-
Blade
-
1 size 10 torx screwdriver and 1 size 6 torx screwdriver
-
-
-
Fit the metal insert onto the inside of one of the 3d printed handles so that the lever is facing up and away from the plastic handle.
-
-
-
Larger Torx screw should fit through both the 3d printed handle and the metal insert.
-
-
-
Push longer set of small torx screws through the plastic and the metal insert using size 6 torx screwdriver. They do not screw in the the metal insert.
-
-
-
The large torx screw bolt and the three smaller torx screws should be exposed through the metal insert.
-
-
-
Make sure to place the long end of the pivot through the metal and plastic handle. It's supposed to be tight, so it may take a little gentle pushing with the back of your screwdriver to get this to set. Careful not to bend!
-
-
-
Hand tighten only. You may need to hold the screws from the other side with a screwdriver while you place the threaded spacers.
-
-
-
Knife blade should sit loosely on the large torx screw. Open the blade all the way so it can sit in the fixed position against the release lever on the metal insert.
-
Add last white plastic spacer after the blade has been set.
-
Careful! Knife is sharp and loose at this point. it can fall off and cut you if you are not careful.
-
-
-
Gently push metal pivot hinge through small hole (it should fit snug) and align the handle over the other screw heads
-
-
-
Squeeze the handle together while you tighten down each screw on each side. Squeezing the handle will lock the threaded metal spacers together so the screws can have something to lock onto .
-
Need Torx screwdrivers sizes 10 and 6 to complete this step.
